At Better Remodels, we believe a successful remodel should be built to last.
That starts with quality workmanship and continues with the products and materials we install in your home. Because every remodeling project can include products from different manufacturers, warranty coverage may vary depending on the specific materials, products, and brands selected for your project.
We believe in being clear about what is covered, who provides the warranty, and how to get help when you need it.
Your Better Remodels project may include two different types of warranty coverage:
Better Remodels stands behind the workmanship we provide as part of your remodeling project.
Our workmanship coverage applies to qualifying installation and construction work performed by Better Remodels, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and warranty period outlined in your remodeling agreement.
Many of the products and materials installed during your remodel are manufactured by independent companies.
These products are covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty, not by a Better Remodels product warranty.
The length and terms of that warranty depend on the manufacturer and the specific product purchased.
This means your project may include different warranty periods for different components of the same remodel.
We work with established manufacturers and suppliers to provide homeowners with quality products and a range of design options.
Depending on your project and selections, products may come from manufacturers such as:
Not every manufacturer or product is used on every project.
The manufacturer and specific product selected for your project will determine the applicable product warranty.
A manufacturer’s warranty is created by the company that designed and produced the product.
For example, if your kitchen cabinets are manufactured by KraftMaid, the warranty for those cabinets is governed by KraftMaid’s applicable warranty terms.
If your vanity, countertop, plumbing fixture, appliance, hardware, or other product comes from another manufacturer, that product may have a completely different warranty.
This is normal in remodeling—and we want our homeowners to understand it before their project begins.
That’s why we recommend keeping your project documentation, product information, receipts, and manufacturer’s warranty documents in a safe place.
Better Remodels’ workmanship warranty is intended to address qualifying issues resulting from our workmanship or installation, subject to the terms of your specific remodeling agreement.
Examples may include qualifying issues involving:
The exact scope of coverage, warranty period, exclusions, and remedies are determined by your signed agreement with Better Remodels.
Your contract is the controlling document for Better Remodels’ workmanship warranty.
Products supplied by third-party manufacturers are generally covered according to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.
Depending on the product, manufacturer warranties may cover certain defects in:
Coverage varies significantly between manufacturers and products.
Some warranties may be limited to the original purchaser, while others may have specific registration requirements, exclusions, or limitations.
Always refer to the warranty documentation for the specific product installed in your home.
Warranty coverage does not generally mean that every problem that occurs after a remodel is automatically covered.
Depending on the applicable warranty, exclusions may include issues caused by:
Specific exclusions vary by warranty.
For this reason, the applicable Better Remodels agreement and manufacturer warranty should always be reviewed for the specific product or workmanship issue.
We want the warranty process to be straightforward.
If you notice a potential workmanship issue or have a question about something installed during your project, contact our team.
We’ll help determine whether the concern appears to relate to Better Remodels’ workmanship or to a manufacturer-supplied product.
If the issue involves a manufactured product, we’ll help identify the manufacturer and product involved whenever that information is available.
The applicable warranty will depend on the specific product and manufacturer.
Some manufacturer warranties may require the homeowner, dealer, contractor, or authorized representative to submit the claim.
If the issue falls under Better Remodels’ workmanship warranty, we’ll address it according to the terms of your remodeling agreement.
If the issue falls under a manufacturer’s warranty, the claim will be handled according to that manufacturer’s warranty procedures.
Remodeling involves many different products, manufacturers, and trades.
That’s why we don’t want to give homeowners a vague promise that “everything is covered.”
Instead, Better Remodels believes in clear warranty responsibility:

At the completion of your remodeling project, we recommend keeping your project documents together.
Depending on your project, these may include:
Keeping these records can make future warranty questions much easier to resolve.
Manufacturers may change their products, finishes, components, replacement parts, or warranty policies over time.
If a product requires replacement under a manufacturer’s warranty, the replacement may not always be identical to the original product.
Replacement availability and options are determined by the applicable manufacturer and its warranty terms.
At Better Remodels, our relationship with you doesn’t end when the construction is complete.
We want you to feel confident not only in the finished remodel, but also in understanding what happens if a question or issue comes up later.
That’s why we work with established manufacturers, provide documentation for your project, and clearly distinguish between Better Remodels workmanship coverage and manufacturer product warranties.
That’s the Better Remodels approach.
If you’re a Better Remodels customer and have a question about your remodel, workmanship, or a product installed during your project, we’re here to help.
Warranty coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of your signed Better Remodels remodeling agreement and the applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Manufacturer warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and are not warranties issued by Better Remodels. Warranty periods, coverage, exclusions, remedies, and claim procedures vary by product and manufacturer. Better Remodels does not guarantee or extend a manufacturer’s warranty unless expressly stated in writing in your remodeling agreement.
